Over the last 30+ years my work has evolved through painting and lightwork installations to digital imaging and an exploration of nano sounds. It has been based on visualising and hearing the mysterious internal workings of our bodies. It could be described as objective self portraiture and the aestheticising of viscera. We are in an age when our view of ‘the figure’ in art is being completely changed by science and technology.
More recently, my work in the field of soundscape goes further into the human experience, by exploring the spirit of being in a particular space or situation. Daily drawing is also a current preoccupation.
